After being introduced to electronic music in the late 1990's in Nagpur, India. Harshal Ramteke started his musical journey not knowing where it would take him. 

Harshal’s musical journey started as music director for fashion shows in his native city of Nagpur, India. This helped him develop a unique understanding of events, performances and its execution. 

Before fully transitioning to Techno as a DJ/producer. Harshal spent more than a decade touring, and DJing commercial indian/Top 40 music at top clubs, private events  around the USA

In 2018 he started focusing on his first love electronic dance music, he dedicated is time to producing and performing around Southern California (SoCal) warehouses, backyards, deserts, and rave circuits. In few years he started releasing original music under his name Harshal. His techno productions have gained recognition in the southern California Techno scene, with his EPs released on some of the most iconic techno labels like Dolma Records, Unity Records, and Mavic Music. His releases have been played on big stages like EDC and regularly charted on the top #50 Techno charts in 2022. His unique techno productions have gained support from top techno artists like Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Coyu Markantonio, Paco Osuna, Danny Tenaglia, Illario Alicante, Danny Sbert, Barbuto, Cristian Varela, Marco Farone, Anthony Pappa, Celic, Tocadisco, D-Unity and SpeakerHoney to name a few.

In early 2023, Harshal started project Alien9, which brings his years of experience as a DJ to his performances and productions, creating an energetic dance-floor experience that takes influences from multiple musical genres. To create his unique style of techno for the dance-floor, Alien9 goes back to his roots with his extensive knowledge of traditional Indian folk instruments layered with complex electronic synths.

Harshal is currently involved in the San Diego underground scene along with his partners Eddie Abarca and Cathy Abarca. Together they have been managing their promotion company 1904 Kollektiv LLC and are working towards brining premium music experience and artists to San Diego city. As promoter Harshal has hosted and shared decks with world class techno artists like DJ Hyperactive,Truncate, Drumcell, Kyle Geiger, Dustin Zahn, Adam X, Maedon, Cleric, Lindsey Herbert and Shay de castro.

With the birth of Alien9, Harshal brings his diverse skill set and unique sound to the forefront of electronic music. He has already released with his Alien9 moniker on respected techno labels like Suara and Naked Lunch Records. His upcoming shows, releases and productions have already started creating buzz and interest among Techno labels and fans. Alien9 is a rising star in the American techno scene, continuing to push the boundaries and create a name for himself in the industry.
